Mission Statement

Christ’s love is in everything we do at Hoole St Michael. Our creative and high-reaching Church of England Primary School is safe, loving and supportive. We encourage the building of good relationships and friendship through respect, tolerance and understanding. Within our Christian family, where parents are our partners in all aspects of school life, we aim to inspire a love for learning within each and every child.

Access to school during building work

During the February half-term holiday scaffolding will be erected around part of the school, preparing for roofing work and a new porch.

From Monday 22nd February, the main entrance at the front of the school will be inaccessible. All visitors to school will need to walk through the car park and around the back of the school. Please ring the bell by the double doors opposite to our school kitchen. We apologise for this inconvenience and we hope that all will soon be back to normal.

Headteacher's Message

Welcome to our website.

Hoole St Michael Church of England Primary is a happy, friendly school with our children’s best interests at the heart of everything we do. We work hard to ensure that every child is successful in the key areas of English and Maths and we are keen to see this recognised in the results they secure. However, we also want them to learn and experience more than this through a broad and stimulating creative curriculum and a range of extra-curricular opportunities that complement our work in the classroom.

Our staff is talented, hard-working and caring. We strongly value links with parents, the church and the community and believe working in partnership will help to provide the best possible education here at Hoole St Michael.

We are also fortunate to have a fabulous outdoor environment including an outdoor classroom to facilitate outdoor learning; millennium garden (complete with sundial) for quieter moments; a well-fenced pond area for nature observations and gardening plots for all classes. Plans are afoot to develop things further to include an improved outdoor area for our reception class, conservation trails and conservation areas. All in all we feel we have a beautiful setting where our children can grow and learn.

I hope you enjoy finding out about us. If you are not a parent and would like to visit, please do not hesitate to contact me

Jo Duckworth (Headteacher)
